Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has fulfilled the requirement of the law by submission of his assets form to the Code of Conduct Bureau CCB.

It is part of the law for every public officer to submit his assets form to the CCB before they take oath into office.

This is a way to bring in transparency into the three arms of government in Nigeria in order for the general public to know the properties owned by these officers.

The Personal assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Bashir Ahmad on Tuesday gave the information which he said President has complied with the demand of constitution of Nigeria in order to procede to his oath taking.

Bashir Ahmad gave the news on his Twitter account.

“President Muhammadu Buhari has, in compliance with the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, submitted his assets declaration forms to the Code of Conduct Bureau, CCB, which by law must precede his oath-taking slated for tomorrow, May 29th.” He wrote.

Heronationblog gathers that Nigeria’s Vice President, Prof Yemi Osibanjo has followed suit by submitting his asset form to the Code of Conduct Bureau.

Heronationblog can also confirm from reliable sources though it has not been made known to the general public that both the President and Vice President has no changes to what was submitted four years ago before they were first sworn into office in 2015.

President Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osibanjo is sent to be sworn in as Nigeria’s President and Vice President respectively on Wednesday May 29 into their second term in office.
