Conversation between Messi and Christiano Ronaldo during the UCL draws/Award

The two of the world greatest football Players of all time, Lionel Messi and Christiano Ronaldo had shared the pundit at many Footballer award for more than a decade.

The debate of who is the greatest between the two is what will be eternal in football history. Both players has won and shared many individual awards between themselves for the past 11 years.

This time around on Thursday they both featured in Uefa Men Footballer of the Year awards which Liverpool defender Virgil Van Dijk clinched the award.

Before the award presentation on Thursday evening, both players were asked about the rivalry in the Spanish La Liga before Ronaldo joined Juventus from Real Madrid last summer and how they have battled for individual awards for the past 15 years.

Here is their reply:

Messi: “It was nice having Cristiano in LaLiga especially because he was at Real Madrid. Now he is at another great club.”

Cristiano: “I miss playing in Spain. Messi and I had a great battle. We have helped each other to be better. This rivalry is among the best in history.”

When Ronaldo was asked how they have come this far sharing the same pundit for so long, he never mind inviting Messi for dinner.

Christiano said: “We (Messi and I) shared this stage for 15 years… I don’t know if it’s ever happened in football, it’s not easy… We have a good relationship but we have not had dinner together but I hope it will happen in future.”

One of the moment that has gotten the attention of fans during the Award night was the conversation between both stars.
